Every “what’s included” list on a vacation rental site gives you a general idea of what you will get to enjoy during your trip. This on the otherhand, is the actual list of what you get when you book a Dune Life house at Ocean Lakes, what you get from the campground on top of that, and what’s not included so you know before you pack!
The list below is the same across the portfolio of all the Dune Life homes, with one specific exception noted.
What’s included inside a Dune Life rental?
Standard across all Dune Life properties:
– Fully furnished home
– Fully equipped kitchen: pots, pans, dishes, glassware, silverware, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, full-size refrigerator, oven, stovetop, basic cooking utensils
– Air conditioning
– Free Wi-Fi on most properties
– Washing machine (dryer in most homes)
– Basic cleaning supplies stocked at arrival
– Starter roll of toilet paper and paper towels
– Starter dish soap and sponge
– Trash bags starter roll
– Iron and ironing board in most homes
– Hair dryer in most bathrooms (varies by property)
– Bed linens on beds at check-in, only if you’ve arranged a linen rental

Can I add linen rentals?
Yes! We offer linen rental as an add-on, typically $30 to $60 for the week depending on the number of beds. This adds bed sheets, pillowcases, and bath towels ready in the home at check-in. If you’d rather pack your own, that’s fine too and costs nothing extra.

What are the check-in details?
Check-in is contactless. You’ll receive an email with:
– Door code for your specific property
– Golf cart instructions (location, keys, charging or fuel notes)
– Wi-Fi password
– Recycling and trash schedule for your section
– My cell number for anything you need
I don’t do in-person check-ins because your time on vacation should not be spent at a rental office lobby.
What if something’s missing when I arrive?
Text me. If a light bulb is out, a pot handle is broken, the Wi-Fi router needs a restart, we handle it the same day. Most issues resolved within a few hours of your text. Serious issues (AC failure, plumbing) usually get a contractor on-site within the same day. Making sure you enjoy your trip is of upmost importance to us!
Are the amenities the same for all Dune Life properties?
Baseline amenities (kitchen, AC, Wi-Fi, washer, cleaning supplies, campground access) yes. Variations across properties include:
– Cart type (standard vs Limo vs 2-cart vs voucher)
– Number of bedrooms and bathrooms (ranges from 2BR/1BA to 5BR/4BA)
– Single-story vs two-story
– Pet-friendly policy (varies by owner)
– Porch size and beach proximity

What about the beach?
Ocean Lakes’ beach is gated and accessible only to registered guests via wristband. It’s approximately one mile of oceanfront. Wristbands are checked during peak season. The beach itself has no amenities like chair or umbrella rentals, so you either bring your own or rent from Ocean Lakes’ RV Center on the way in.
